The ” AGEO Award “aims to students through recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of geographic information science to promote. The official award ceremony and presentation of the best works made in the context of an event of the Austrian Umbrella Organization for Geographic Information ( AGEO ).

Participation
Participation is open to all students at universities and colleges that are members of the Austrian Umbrella Organization for Geographic Information, and students at the time of filing in a regular relationship with a service AGEO are a member. Theses (master / diploma theses, no bachelor’s papers) have been completed in his 2010 academic year.

 

Submission and evaluation criteria
The work must always be submitted on time in digital form. In addition to the digital version of the operations on the application form as a download ( PDF or DOC to be a proof of successful completion of the thesis (or transcript evaluation), and transmitted). The entries will be selected by a jury chaired by the AGEO President on the following criteria evaluated:

  • Topicality of the subject
  • Practical relevance
  • Theoretical basis
  • Innovation
  • Economic relevance
  • Structure and organization of work
Deadline for submissions is 20 April 2011. (= date of postmark)

 

The official presentation of the ” AGEO Award 2011 “is part of AGIT conference held in Salzburg in July 2011.
