Scottish Borders Landscape Protection Views Sought

A three-month consultation period is about to start on which parts of the Scottish Borders should be designated “special landscape areas” and given extra protection when it comes to development. The proposed map includes eight areas – the Tweedsmuir uplands, the Tweed valley, the Tweed, Ettrick and Yarrow confluences, the Teviot valleys, the Lammermuirs, the Berwickshire coast and the Cheviot foothills.
