Transport Agency Proposes Two-tier Approach to Finnish Highway Maintenance

HELSINGIN SANOMAT – The better maintenance standards would apply to just over 3,000 kilometres of highway. Finland has a total of about 13,000 kilometres of main roads, and just under 51,000 kilometres of asphalted roads.
The plan stems from the uncertain economic situation. Highway funding is not expected to increase in the future, and it could actually decline. Read More
