South Pole Expedition Behind Schedule

One of the Norwegian expeditions on its way across the Antarctic ice is behind schedule, and may not make it in time for the 100-year anniversary of Roald Amundsen’s arrival at the South Pole on December 14th. The expedition has had a slow start, and was already one week delayed before they reached their starting point due to poor weather conditions. Now, their biggest challenge is the lack of wind that was supposed to help pull them forward, using kite-like sails. Read More
