New GIS System Being Used by Lake County Officials

A comprehensive computer program is now being used in the Equalization Office that provides information about each parcel of property in Lake County at the click of a button. Equalization Director Shirley Ebsen said a Geographic Information System (GIS) has been up and running since mid-January. “We’re learning new features every day,” Ebsen said, explaining that the program is a good mapping tool, a good visual for her office, and provides numerous enhancements to the services her office provides.
