DEWHA –  The Rudd Government will invest $18.0 million over four years to establish a groundbreaking National Plan for Environmental Information to help protect our precious environmental assets into the future. “The National Plan for Environmental Information is the first step towards long term reform of Australia’s environmental information base, building this critical infrastructure for the future,” Minister for Environment Protection Peter Garrett said. “The wellbeing of our communities and economy is inextricably linked to the health of our environment—our atmospheric, terrestrial, aquatic and marine ecosystems.
