  • Rating12345

Belgium, Leuven – 11th August, 2016 Luciad is delighted to announce several new speakers for INTERACT – The Luciad User Conference 2016. The conference is the premier event for geospatial professionals and developers from the Aviation, Defence, Maritime, Safety & Security and Utilities & Logistics sectors. It will be held on September 28th & 29th at Square – the Brussels Meeting Centre.

Major Sascha Greuel of the German Military Aviation Office’s Flight Operations and Information Center takes centre stage to speak about their operations and how Luciad is used in their systems. The Flight Operations and Information Center uses aeronautical and geospatial data to investigate incidents in military traffic, noise complaints and questions from the parliamentary and government level. The Center plays a pivotal role in the German Military’s efforts to regulate and provide safety supervision to their flight operations.

Additional speakers include Christoph Krüger and Jakub Przybyla from Lufthansa Systems, who will outline how they have been using LuciadRIA to create a powerful, sustainable software solution for the future. Lufthansa previously worked with Luciad and SAP HANA to develop software to manage the impact of severe weather events on flight operations and quickly reroute traffic to mitigate disruption.

Senior Data Scientist from Dataiku Nicolas Gakrelidz and Phillipe Bessis, Partner Account Manager at HP Enterprise will also show how geospatial intelligence can be used to understand and track behaviors. They have worked with Luciad to develop a demonstration of how organisations can leverage spatial and unstructured data to analyze and find hidden relationships in data and between users.

Lida Joly, CMO at Luciad, commented: “We are excited to have such a prestigious line-up at our conference this year for delegates to learn firsthand about the advancements in our technology and how geospatial applications are being deployed across numerous different industries.”
