  • Rating12345

URISA is pleased to announce that Keri Brennan, GISP has joined the URISA Headquarters’ staff as Education Manager.

Keri has been the GIS Education Program Manager for The Schneider Corporation in Indianapolis for the past 12 years.  Her job entailed traveling over much of the US visiting local government and private clients and helping them with their GIS implementations, serving as a trainer, consultant and client advocate.  She noted, “Being able to offer clients solutions and ideas of how to grow GIS in their communities is one of the most satisfying parts of my job, along with teaching new and experienced GIS and local government officials the benefits of GIS.”

Keri is a long-time URISA member and volunteer leader, and is also a Certified GIS Professional (GISP).

Wendy Nelson, URISA’s Executive Director, remarked, “Keri’s addition to the URISA staff provides the organization with so many possibilities. As Chair of URISA’s Workshop and Curriculum Development Committees, Keri is already familiar with URISA’s current educational programs. As a GIS subject matter expert and trainer, she has the industry knowledge and expertise to greatly improve and expand URISA’s offerings to better meet the professional development needs of GIS practitioners. Watch for great things in the near future!”
