Google Earth Canada Launches Virtual Boreal Tour

Canada’s boreal forest is the star of a new online showcase that provides a coast to coast interactive tour of the country’s ‘green halo’. Launched as part of Google Earth’s Outreach Canada project, with support from The Pew Environment Group, the tour lets anyone with an Internet connected computer hover over the vast northern forests and waterways to learn about an ecosystem that stores twice as much carbon and more freshwater than similar scale ecosystems.
