The role of a facilitator is to provide technical guidance and assist in the organisation of the data specification activities that take place in one of the Thematic Working Groups, while the editor prepares the UML schema and documents the data specifications according to the agreed pre-defined format. The “Energy resources“, “Human Health and Safety”, “Environmental Monitoring Facilities”, and “Bio-Geographical Regions – Habitats and Biotops – Species distribution” Thematic Working Groups started their work in April 2010 and are expected to deliver v3.0 of the data specification in February 2012. The Facilitators and the Editor will take up their duties upon the signature of the contract and shall participate in the tasks described in the Terms of Reference.
