Syria and Turkey will establish a joint company to produce solar panels and other renewable energy equipment, it was announced. The company will be a joint venture between Syria’s General Organisation for Engineering Industries (GOEI) and the Turkish Barak Company. It will have an initial capital of SYP 184m (USD 4m), employ 100 workers and aims to produce 24,000 solar panels annually.
