Nigeria’s New Satellite Moved to Russia

PUNCH – The satellite was manufactured by Surrey Satellite Technology Limited, a British satellite manufacturing firm, and it is scheduled to be launched into space in Yansy, Russia by Dnper, a Russian company specialising in satellite launch services. Abubakar said before the satellite, known as NigeriaSat-2, was moved to Russia in preparation for its journey into space, he had inspected its final testing in space. The satellite is expected to be in orbit in the first quarter of 2011. Read More
