Transit Plans: Think Regionally, Act Locally

Our region took what could be a huge step forward this month as the Capital Regional District board unanimously approved a motion from the transportation and planning committee asking for a staff report on establishing a regional transportation function. Essentially, this means examining how the CRD could take over planning and decision-making for a truly regional approach to transportation, from roads to transit.
