Farmers Urged to Embrace the Internet

Farmers are being urged to become internet savvy when they make applications for farming subsidies which saw pay outs of 35.5 million euros in 2010 alone. The Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organisation (KOAP) announced last week that its newly improved internet system will make online applications to the subsidy scheme far easier and will mean farmers no longer have to trek down to a KOAP district office.
