Norway’s International Climate and Forests Initiative

This evaluation is part of the first phase of a real-time evaluation of Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI). As such, it is a major undertaking and the first of its kind for the Evaluation Department. The evaluation is conducted by a team of independent evaluators from the British company LTS International in collaboration with Indufor Oy, Ecometrica and Christian Michelsen Institute. The evaluation was initiated in accordance with the Evaluation Department’s mandated responsibility to evaluate Norwegian development cooperation and motivated by the strong interest from NICFI to draw early lessons and allow corrections to be made in ‘real time’.
