Argentina On the Way to Importing More Energy

Argentina may soon have to import all of its energy, according to eight former energy secretaries.  The men who ran the Energy Secretariat after Argentina’s return to democracy in 1983 have launched a scathing criticism of the Kirchner period in power. Former Energy Secretary Jorge Lapena said last week that oil production had dropped 18% and gas production, 43% since Kirchner came to power in 2003.
