INRA Named One of the World’s 10 Best Places to Work in Academia

In its July 2010 issue, The Scientist published results of its annual survey of the best places to work in academia. INRA Versailles-Grignon, the only French institution on the list, bagged seventh place, standing proudly alongside leading international institutions.

 More than 2300 scientists working in the life sciences answered an online survey conducted for the eighth straight year by the American monthly journal. Respondents were asked by The Scientist to assess their working environment in eight areas: job satisfaction; peers; infrastructure and environment; research resources; pay; management and policies; teaching and mentoring; and tenure and promotion. Of the 119 institutions ranked, 89 were in the US while 30 were in the rest of the world. In 2003, INRA Versailles-Grignon had already been picked as one of the top three academic institutions outside the United States. Read More
