Water Quality Unacceptable at 283 Waterworks

COPENHAGEN POST – Despite last year’s headlines that revealed 190 waterworks facilities nationwide were pumping dangerous coli bacteria into residents’ drinking water, the problem as not got better – in fact, it has become worse. According to 2009 figures from the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), 283 water facilities are now guilty of supplying drinking water to residents that contained coliform bacteria, including E. coli.
