WALES GOV – It is a principle of the Wales Spatial Plan that development should be sustainable. Sustainable development is about improving wellbeing and quality of life by integrating social, economic and environmental objectives in the context of more efficient use of natural resources. The Wales Spatial Plan aims to deliver sustainable development through its Area Strategies in the context of the Welsh Assembly Government’s statutory Sustainable Development Scheme.  The Scheme is currently being revised to reflect the Assembly Government’s One Wales agenda.
