Veolia Environment, the Coastal Shores and France Sign a Partnership Agreement.

VEOLIA FRANCE – At the Salon of mayors, Jean-Pierre Fréchette, Deputy Managing Director of Veolia Environnement in charge of local authorities, and Jérôme Bignon, President of the Coastal Shores and France, signed an agreement for three years, for the protection and enhancement of wetlands Coastal Conservancy. Wetlands perform many ecological functions in the territories: regulating and self-purification of water, protection against flooding, organic production, host species with high value assets (migratory birds). Because of anthropogenic pressures exerted, these areas may be endangered (dryness, saltwater intrusion to freshwater wetlands along the coasts, …).
