UNFPA Gives Support for 2013 Census in Gambia

The United Nations Fund for Population Affairs (UNFPA) on Friday provided more than 11 million U. S. dollars for the 2013 population and housing census in Gambia. The items of 11, 305, 847 dollars worth were received by Gambian Vice President and Minister of Women Affairs Isatou Njie- Saidy. At the launch of the Women Federation KMC chapter at the Serrekunda West Mini-Stadium, UNFPA donated three Toyota vehicles, computers, printer accessories, stationeries for census mapping and furniture for the cartography unit.
