Two Years in Space: RapidEye Establishes its Place in the Geospatial Industry

RapidEye, the only geospatial solutions provider to own and operate a constellation of five identical Earth Observation satellites, announced today that it is celebrating its second  year in space after its successful satellite launch in August 2008.As a major milestone, RapidEye imaged its one billionth square kilometer of the surface of the Earth this year since commercial operations began on February 4, 2009.
