Turkish Cypriot Water Transfer Project to be Launched Monday

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Alakopru Dam, part of a project to carry potable and irrigation water from Turkey to northern Cyprus, will take place in the Anamur district in the southern province of Mersin on Monday. Water from the Alakopru Dam will be carried to Turkish Cyprus via underwater pipes. Each year 75 million cubic meters of water will be transferred to the island. Read More
