Turkey will construct an airport on an artificial island in the Black Sea, near the cities of Ordu and Giresun, the country’s Transport Minister Binali Yildirim has announced. A total of 20 million tons of soil and 9 million tons of rock will be poured into the sea to facilitate the creation of the artificial island.
