Public Consultation on GMES and Africa Action Plan

The GMES and Africa Process, launched in December 2007 by European and African main stakeholders, aims at developing the GMES and Africa Action Plan and submitting it for adoption at the next Africa-EU Summit which will be held in Libya by the end of 2010. This commitment is expressed in the Lisbon Declaration on GMES and Africa Partnership.Since then, European and African partners have been jointly working under the auspices of the 8th Africa-EU Partnership (for Science, Information Society and Space) and a baseline version of the Action Plan was drafted by experts from both continents.
