Nearly All Finns Under the Age of 50 Have Internet Access

Nearly all Finns under the age of 50 have access to the internet, and more than half of those aged 65 to 79 are also online. Meanwhile, only one in five households have a landline telephone subscription, according to a consumer survey conducted by the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA). Of all internet users, less than 30 per cent own a fixed high-speed subscription. Men are more likely to have a high-speed connection, as are those who are under the age of 50, those with jobs, as well as students and residents of the Helsinki region. Read More
