MapInfo Manager is part of the MapInfo suite for Enterprise Location Intelligence.  It is ideal for establishing a Single Point of Truth of spatial assets for spatial data custodians and GIS managers, through fast, efficient, intuitive metadata management. This is the third release of the product by Pitney Bowes Business Insight in a year, as part of our agile innovation program for spatial data infrastructure (SDI). In version 1.2 MapInfo Manager now automatically harvests more data sources – SQL Server and PostGIS.  There has also been a variety of enhancements to make automatic harvesting even faster and bulk metadata updates a snap.  Now, you can not only associate spatial data to a metadata statement, you can also assign associated resources, like license agreements or user guides for that data.  Security has also been implemented to lock down access to the administrator and any published metadata catalogues – so only those intended can search, discover and access your valuable data.
