Magnolia River and 3-GIS Announce Pavement Management Program

  • Rating12345

Magnolia River and partner 3-GIS have implemented 3-GIS’ Express Solution to track maintenance of the City of Albany’s street network as part of the Pavement Management Program. Express Solution leverages Esri’s ArcGIS Server to seamlessly flow network data between an office administrator utilizing Network Express and field technicians with the mobile Field Express. Three departments, Public Works, Planning and Zoning, and Engineering will revolutionize city road maintenance with this new software. Using a combination of GIS, customized city maps and GPS, the city will be able to track problem areas and make comprehensive inspections and decisions. From the office, an administrator can set the work orders for the field crews and track work flows. A worker in the field will inspect the roads and input information into the database. An assessment of the mapping data will give a complete picture of the situation, allowing the worker to acknowledge the quantity of asphalt he can take to the job. Express Solution will allow the city to respond and track problem areas around town, all while being mobile and using less time and manpower. Read More
