Leica GeoMoS Web v2.1: Advanced Visualization Anywhere at Any Time

  • Rating12345

Leica Geosystems is pleased to release an update of Leica GeoMoS Web, the web-based service for visualization and analysis of monitoring data via the Internet. Leica GeoMoS Web v2.1 provides advanced visualization capabilities and can be accessed by using a web browser, PDA, or mobile phone.

New Contour Graph
In Leica GeoMoS Web v2.1, contour graphs have been implemented to the graph type management. Such contour graphs deliver status information regarding the monitoring project and are for example, very helpful for subsidence monitoring. Contour graphs are based on the real 2D positions of points and sensors and can represent any series of measurements with colors proportional to the movement. The new settings included in the graph type can easily be defined with an assistant in the graph type management. Additionally, the contour graphs can be georeferenced with a map.

Zooming Supported by All Graph Types
The new zooming functionality fits perfectly with the architecture of a server-based web application without any additional software required on the client PC, and the graphs are always created on the GeoMoS Web server.

Easy Assign Points to the Overview
With the updated version of GeoMoS Web it is not only possible to assign sites to the overview image but points as well. Assigning points directly to the overview image is helpful for smaller or GNSS only projects where the zoning in different sites is not reasonable. In addition, the access to points (e.g. meteo sensors or webcams) for multiple sites is now easier.

Reporting now includes “Copy” Functionality of Templates
In order to simplify the effort of setting up report templates for different audiences and reports, the existing reporting has been extended with the “copy report template” functionality. The feature allows the user to copy report templates and modify them. This greatly simplifies the creation process of multiple reports with different content.

Leica GeoMoS Web – Software as a Service
Leica GeoMoS Web is a ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS), an on-demand service that uses a web-based application to display monitoring data. The service, including the necessary hardware and software infrastructure, is operated by Leica Geosystems and a dedicated team of Leica Geosystems experts who keep the system secure, online and up to date, allowing the user to concentrate on what’s really important: monitoring the structure. Leica GeoMoS Web supports highly secure https and SSL encryption for secure data transfer.

Free Demo Account and 30-Day Trial
Leica Geosystems has set up a demo project. All new features and functionality are available at www.geomos.leica-geosystems.com/demo. Please contact your local Leica Geosystems sales representative for a User ID and password.
Leica Geosystems is also pleased to announce a free 30-day trial of Leica GeoMoS Web v2.1 including all new functionalities, available to all existing and new Leica GeoMoS users. Unlike the demo project, users can set up their own projects using individual settings. During this trial period users will also benefit from the dedicated Leica Geosystems monitoring support team. After a successful trial period the customer can purchase the service. The evaluation license is then converted to a production license.
