Israel’s Forester for Day – Carmel Forest

Travelers to Israel can now participate in a new reforestation project, “Forester for a Day,” every Sunday through Friday in northern Israel’s Carmel Forest region. Initiated by the KKL-JNF, the project allows participants to assist park rangers in clearing underbrush, pruning trees and preparing fire breaks and forest paths in the Carmel Region. The three-hour program is suitable for groups of up to 150, and is available in English, French, German, Spanish and Hebrew.  Read More
