Iran to Launch Remote Sensing Satellite

OANA – Iran plans to launch a remote sensing satellite in the near future, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday during a speech at a youth festival in Tehran Ahmadinejad said that Iran will send the first Iranian astronaut into space by Iranian calendar year 1398 (March 2019-March 2020). Iran originally planned to launch its first manned spacecraft in Iranian calendar year 1403 (March 2024-March 2025) but the schedule has been moved up five years. Read More
