Intergraph Introduces ImageStation 2013

  • Rating12345

Intergraph announces the upcoming release of the ImageStation 2013 software suite as part of Intergraph Geospatial Portfolio 2013. This release provides significant improvements to users engaged in high-volume commercial photogrammetry and production mapping, moving large quantities of raw spatial information to exploitable formats.

ImageStation provides enhanced project creation, orientation and triangulation, 3D feature collection and editing, digital terrain model (DTM) collection and editing, and orthophoto production using aerial and satellite imagery. This release includes new capabilities for dense terrain extraction from digital aerial frame imagery, new opportunities for distributable processing, and increased support for ingesting surfaces.

“With the many organizations dealing with large volumes of photogrammetry data, ImageStation 2013 will allow users to make this data more actionable for real-time decision making,” said Mladen Stojic, Vice President – Geospatial, Intergraph.  “From dense terrain surface extraction to distributable processing in the automatic terrain extraction module, this new release will allow organizations to enhance workflows and fully embrace the power of commercial photogrammetry data.”

This release introduces a new add-on module: ImageStation Automatic Elevations – Extended (ISAE-Ext). This new product enables users to generate dense point clouds using pixel-level correlation on stereo imagery from Leica RCD30, Z\I DMC (I&II) and UltraCam sensors. ISAE-Ext uses the Semi-Global Matching (SGM) algorithm and RGB encodes the point cloud output to produce a product that is essentially a 3D ortho.

ImageStation 2013 also includes native support for additional terrain formats (ArcGrid, ADF, XYZ).  This ensures better overall performance when rendering terrain.

Intergraph is launching Intergraph Geospatial 2013 later this year. The united portfolio includes new releases of GeoMedia, ERDAS IMAGINE, LPS, ImageStation, ERDAS APOLLO, GeoMedia Smart Client, GeoMedia Web Map, Geospatial Portal, and Geospatial SDI. In this modern and dynamic release, users will be able to discover and exploit the wealth of information contained in data from any source, share it rapidly (and securely), and deliver it on demand as reliable and actionable information to drive smarter decisions.
