Green Light for €4.4bn Amsterdam Motorway Project

A €4.4bn project to widen and improve the motorway connections between Amsterdam, Schiphol airport and Almere can start at the end of this year, transport minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen said on Monday. The project involves widening existing roads, building two tunnels and working on hundreds of bridges and viaducts, the ministry documents show. In total 63 kilometres of motorway will be overhauled and expanded, including parts of the A1, A6, A9 and A10.
