Farmers to Get Soil Fertility in India

THE HINDU – Farmers can soon avail themselves of information about soil fertility at their district and block headquarters that would also help the Department of Fertilisers to prepare and monitor equitable distribution of fertilisers and micro-nutrients. A methodology for preparation of district level digitised soil fertility map has been standardised, which was one of the thrust areas identified for research by the government,Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR) Assistant Director General (Natural Resource Management) P D Sharma told PTI.
