Cadastre and Repository Systems Introduced to Mining Companies

The Minister of Mines, Mineral Resources, Alhaji Minkalu Mansaray, yesterday introduced mining companies to the Mining Cadastre and Administration System (MCAS), and the Government of Sierra Leone Online Repository. The programme was held at the National Stadium Presidential lounge. According to the Minister of Mines, Mineral Resources, there is no doubt that the Mining Industry has attracted a lot of attention since 2007, due partly to the aggressive marketing they have done as a government, of the geological potentials, among others and also due to the fact that they have moved to make Sierra Leone a very friendly environment for both citizens and foreigners to do business. International rankings in this area speak clearly about the new developments he had just described. He added that the extractive sector is projected to contribute significantly to government revenues imminently.
