Nova Scotia Farmland Rezoning to Get Review

It appears the provincial government will get the final say after all on a controversial farmland rezoning proposal in the Annapolis Valley. The government announced Friday that the proposal will undergo a ministerial review. John MacDonell, the minister for Service Nova Scotia and municipal relations who is also the agriculture minister, has 60 days to make a decision. “A lack of clarity in a municipal proposal to rezone agricultural land in the Annapolis Valley has prompted a ministerial review,” the province said in a news release late Friday.
