Welsh Marine Science Project Gets Financial Boost

Bridge Marine Science Group (BMSG), an award winning Welsh business is to receive a £265,200 financial boost to assist talented individuals and enterprises in the marine sector. The money will be used to drive forward growth in the marine industry and create 20 new jobs in South West Wales.

BMSG, who have offices in Cardiff and Menai Bridge, have already picked up a coveted European RegioStar award in June 2011 for their £2.5m GEMS project (Growth in Environmental Marine Sciences). The award honours Europe’s most groundbreaking initiatives, recognising the company’s contribution to building a strong business cluster to support Wales’ marine science sector. The project has been supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Government to assist enterprises across North West Wales to work together to increase their global business opportunities.
