GOV INDIA – India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma announced that they had agreed to set up a trilateral satellite program, at the fourth Summit of the India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) Dialogue Forum held in Brasilia, Brazil, on 15 April 2010. The program will involve two satellites. One for space weather and climate is planned to be launched within two years and the other for earth observation is planned to be ready for launch two years after the former has been launched.
