Netherlands Likely to Exceed EU Emissions Standards

The Netherlands is unlikely to achieve EU emissions standards by 2015, according to a report published on Tuesday by the national environment assessment agency PBL and the ECN energy research centre. The report estimates the country will achieve roughly 50% of the EU standard in nitrogen emitted by traffic, industry and energy companies and in ammonia emissions in agriculture.
