Tanzania: Let Reason Prevail On Nile

ALL AFRICA –  The raging now over the sharing of the River Nile’s waters is nothing new. It is over 10 years now, since Nile Basin countries started negotiations to reach an agreement on how best to share this vital resource. While four countries – Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia -out of 10 have this month signed a new agreement establishing principles governing the use of Nile water resources, Egypt and Sudan have opted out.
