India Prepared to Assume Tsunami Watch in June

IOC – India is to become the first Tsunami Watch Provider for the Indian Ocean as of June this year. India’s offer was accepted by the Intergovernmental Coordination group for the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System,  which was meeting in Putrajaya, Malaysia, from 8 to 12 April 2008.
