Trimble Expands Product Training and Support for Agriculture

  • Rating12345

Trimble announced today a four-tiered precision agriculture product training and support initiative for Trimble Agriculture’s resellers and grower customers.

The new resources include :

– A hands-on Trimble Reseller Training Facility at the Agricultural Research Development and Education Center (ARDEC) at Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, Colorado
– Launch of an online Trimble Agriculture Learning Center for resellers and growers
– Expanded Global Services support hotline for growers
– Extended warranty options for growers

Hands-On — Technical Training Facility

In collaboration with CSU, Trimble has helped establish a comprehensive, dedicated precision agriculture training center. The CSU ARDEC facility located in Fort Collins, Colorado, was chosen for its academic environment and opportunities for Trimble equipment to be installed, tested and engaged in many aspects of precision field crop production. Trimble resellers can receive hands-on training in the installation, support and use of Trimble precision agriculture solutions.

Features of the ARDEC facility available to Trimble include : several hundred acres with crops representative of most of North America; a complete farm shop for installation and maintenance training; a broad range of field equipment of varying brands; state-of-the-art classroom with multimedia capabilities; multiple demonstration fields; and interaction with leading agricultural researchers as ARDEC continues its function as a premier University agriculture research facility.

“The collaborative training program with Trimble technology will strengthen our teaching, research, and extension efforts at CSU and ARDEC and I look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship” said Dr. Lee Sommers, Assoc. Dean-Research, Agricultural Sciences at CSU. “This effort will expose our faculty, staff, and students to state-of-art technology developed by Trimble and used for precision agriculture. Access to Trimble technologies will be an asset to enhance our crop production and soil management systems” Learn more atwww.colostate.edu/Orgs/ARDEC.
