LOS ANGELES – November 12, 2015 — With drones expected to be a holiday season must-have, a new interest in aviation is emerging from the hobbyist to professional pilots, to corporate industries. Leaders are predicting the unmanned aircraft will become as forward thinking, cutting edge and as common as the upsurge of the smartphone. International industry leaders and enthusiasts will gather at the International Drone Expo [IDE], the largest commercial drone conference, to discuss the future of this developing drone economy at the Los Angeles Convention Center December 11 to 12.

“Less than a decade ago, people could not fathom why there would be a need to have a smartphone,” said Keith Kaplan, co-founder and CEO of the Unmanned Autonomous Vehicle Systems Association [UAVSA]. “Now smartphones are commonplace and play a very integral part in many people’s lives. Likewise, drones are trending towards becoming familiar and mainstream. From agriculture, entertainment, security, news, commerce and beyond, this aircraft will become necessary and play a role in many industries.”

IDE is the premier professional business destination for the national and international commercial drone community. The conference will address the pressure to move forward as well as work with lawmakers, the future of education for software and hardware jobs, the use of drones in the commercial world and more. A list of the conference agenda is available here.

IDE was created by the UAVSA, the only worldwide drone association focused solely on the commercial prosumer, operator, pilot, innovator, entrepreneur, company and community. This year, the UAVSA is partnering with E.J. Krause & Associates, a presidentially-awarded international expo company that brings premier technology and staging to global conferences, to produce the event.

IDE 2015 is possible thanks in part to these gracious sponsors: Aerial Media Pros, DJI, DroneFly, FLIR Systems Inc. and MultiCopter Warehouse.

Early Bird Tickets for IDE 2015 are available now for both the Business Conference for $295 and the Expo for $25.
