Sochi Olympics Sites on Satellite Images

Highly detailed space imagery is actively applied for monitoring of construction activities of the sites related to the Sochi Olympic Games. Analysis of multi-temporal satellite data enables to assess the dynamics of erection of the Olympic buildings in different parts of the Sochi town. In all, there will be over 200 new installations constructed by the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics (sports facilities, residential areas, economic entities) with all associated infrastructure.  The largest and the most expensive site, constructed within the frames of the preparations for the Olympics, is the combined road Adler-Krasnaya Polyana. Arkhyz and most probably Prielbrusie (Elbrus Region) will be the backup zones for Olympics developments. Read More
