SITNAMAP is a GIS tool for handling geographic information. It represents SITNA’s clear intention to offer a better service to society meeting its users’ main demands: providing more geographic data and tools to work on this data. Like any other GIS, it works as an alphanumerical database whose records are associated with graphic objects on a digital format map. So, by highlighting an object on the map, we can find out about its attributes and, inversely, we can search for a record in the database and obtain its location. This tool displays the information in different layers, and allows you to work with them quickly and simply, interrelating information. This software developed by TRACASA, has represented a major challenge in developing non commercial software: Designing a GIS application aimed at the general public with access to a PC. SITNAMAP aims to be a user-friendly tool with a large number of functional features making it solid and reliable.
