SAG Awards at Esri UC Honour Outstanding Applications of Geospatial Technology

  • Rating12345

Esri has recognised more than 170 organisations during the Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Awards at this year’s Esri International User Conference (Esri UC) in San Diego, California.   The SAG Awards acknowledge innovative and intelligent applications of GIS technology and this year’s winners include three from the UK:  BT, Manchester Airports Group and National Grid Gas Distribution Transformation.

“Each year the SAG Awards highlight the extraordinary achievements and efforts to improve our world,” commented Esri President Jack Dangermond.  “At Esri, we are always deeply impressed with the work of our users.  This recognition is well deserved for how they’ve applied geospatial technology to address the needs of their industries and communities.  They are defining GIS best practices.”

Organisations from around the world honoured at the Esri UC span industries including agriculture, cartography, climate change, defence and intelligence, economic development, education, government, health and human services, telecommunications and utilities.
