September 1, 2015 — Dr. Bill Dally, an associate professor in the School of Engineering at the University of North Florida, was awarded a grant for more than $500,000 by the National Science Foundation to develop an amphibious remotely operated vehicle (ROV) for coastal research and education.

Esri has recognised more than 170 organisations during the Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Awards at this year’s Esri International User Conference (Esri UC) in San Diego, California. The SAG Awards acknowledge innovative and intelligent applications of GIS technology and this year’s winners include three from the UK: BT, Manchester Airports Group and National Grid
