6th International Conference “Earth from Space – the Most Effective Solutions” this year is held under the sign of the Year of Environment Protection in Russia. The plenary session “International Environmental Programs and Projects. Satellite Data for Sustainable Development” will be held on October 1 at the Conference Hall of the Moscow Region “Vatutinki” complex of Russian President Administration on the first day of the conference.
Presentations on current international environmental projects will be delivered. A presentation of the President and CEO of World Resources Institute (WRI) doctor Andrew Steer and of Senior Associate of World Resources Institute doctor Lars Laestadius will be delivered named “Global Forest Watch 2.0 – A New Initiative to Use Information from Space to Improve Forest Management and Conservation”. Nikolai Vedenkin from “Dauriya Aerospace” company (Golden sponsor of the conference) will take the floor with the presentation: “CubeSat R&D work: low resolution operational monitoring system (22 m)”.
Program Manager of the Global Tiger Initiative of the World Bank doctor Andrew Kushlin will present the project “Open Nature Protection Initiative (Open Landscape). Lead specialist of NGO “Transparent World” Alexander Manisha will deliver a lecture “High resolution space images as a tool of ecological monitoring of large industrial projects within the Asian trans-border rivers’ basins”.

Key topics of the conference are: nature protection and access to space images and near real-time satellite-based monitoring services from civil society in Russia and abroad.
