NV Energy Receives Approval for $301 Million Smart Grid Project

NV Energy, a US-based utility company, has received approval for its $301 million smart grid and smart meter project from the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada. The company has also received $138 million grant in stimulus funding from the US Department of Energy for the implementation of the advanced service delivery (ASD) project. The company plans to install the first 10,000 digital smart meters in southern Nevada later in 2010. Read More
