Degrees in climate change and sustainability provide future opinion leaders, managers and advisers with timely and relevant research-based knowledge. Nordic universities are collaborating on promoting this kind of education. With a prospect of a world population of nine billion people by 2050 and the effects of climate change it is becoming ever clearer that it is high time to think in terms of sustainability. The UN has actually designated the years 2005-2014 as the decade for education in sustainability.
